Elecard and Rusnano to invest $24m in digital TV devices
Tomsk-based digital TV software company Elecard, in cooperation with state corporation Rusnano, intends to invest $23.7m in production of electronic devices for digital television, based on 90- and 65-nanometric processors, Rusnano reports.
The project is reportedly to be carried out in several stages.
Under the first stage, in 2010 the company is to start production of digital TV attachments and digital broadcasting studios, based on processors, made using 90-nanometer technologies.
Under the second stage, in 2011-2012 the company is to start making video signal coding and decoding systems, and to develop new microprocessors based on 65-nanometer technology.
Under the third stage, in 2013-2014, series production of the devices is to be launched.
