Nadezhda Butryumova
Lecturer, Venture Management Dept., National Research University, The Higher School of Economics, Nizhny Novgorod
"It is my first visit to Russia and I have to admit: when I went to Nizhny Novgorod, I was a bit skeptical about the development of innovative business in the Russian Federation. Here, at this Forum, I began to look with optimism at the russian innovative market prospects. This market can be compared to a flywheel which is developed hardly owing to the big territory of the country. That’s why such a way of strengthening interactions between elements of an innovative infrastructure is extremely important. Especially I liked round tables, when participants of the Forum had possibility to exchange opinions."
Eleonora Shkolnik
Doctor of Chemical Science, Ariel University Research and Development Company Ltd., Israel
"The Forum «Innovation for business» is close to real life and far from theatricality. The discussion was organized on a high level: from the classical form «presentations + 2 questions from audience» dialog spontaneously developed into a round table where everybody could express his/her opinion. Marchmont has so warmed up audience that from official definitions and vast discussions participants of the Forum have decided to concrete practical actions. Eventually I want to say it would be desirable to see at the Forum of more representatives of the government, but not the first persons – experts, with whom representatives of innovative business usually contact."
Julia Kruze
General Director, “TM-Service”, Cand. Sc. Law, Nizhny Novgorod
"Such conferences cover the most critical gaps in a chain of commercialization and help to develop mechanisms of overcoming of these difficulties."

I was gratefully pleased that the Region administration comprehended it!"
Grigory Menshikov

"Certainly I’d like to thank Kendrick for realization of such events.
As I’ve already mentioned, the subject of ‘innovation’ is quite a new one.
While nowadays developing of this topic became prestigious but a great amount
of people do not fully understand the difficulties that may arise. However, the issue
is being studied and the understanding of how the cluster approach to the innovations should
be formed has already appeared. And here all forums in the regions organized by Marchmont Capital
Partners play an important role. Now we are carrying out the First Youth Innovation Convention with the
participation of Zvorykin project coordinators.
Yesterday I imparted some information obtained from Kendrick at the forum in
Volgograd to young innovators warning them of possible errors."

"We were very happy to visit the Forum in Moscow region. There were many interesting people there and informal environment provided a chance to have comfortable communication and experience exchange.
Combining of the two events - Icamp and MARCHMONT Forum attracted many different participants and gave us the possibility to speak on one ground with participants who made presentations and master-classes.
In such out in the country atmosphere it was interesting to listen business stories from life such as was a story of Patricia Cloherty, kind of the business advices that were even more interesting and practical then success stories which format could be still developed.
Receptions were of the kind that was perfect in such atmosphere. May be only good live music could be added to form more comfortable space for communication."

Elena Fomchenko

"Our company participated in Samara conference held by Marchmont
for the first time in November 2008. That was the time when the crisis
was at its height and everyone was in panic and had no idea of what
it would result in and how long it would last. Now it is clear that
the crisis has come here for a long time and we have to put up with
it, adapt to it and learn to live in a different way.
However, at that moment when we did not know this fully holding
a conference for regional business leaders was a risky and,
I would even say, courageous move to make. But the risk taken
by Marchmont was completely justified! The conference covered
burning issues a company faces in crisis times: "how to further
set HR policies, how to deal with the personnel, how to avoid
company collapse or its hostile takeover, etc." After the
conference we made many useful contacts that could be helpful
for many companies in personnel recruitment and other HR solutions.
We thank Marchmont for the opportunity to participate in the
conference, for brilliant conference management and creating
fascinating and lively business atmosphere."
Inna Podporina
Director of Kelly Services Samara division
"Dear Kendrick White. Dear colleagues!
As Marchmont partner and expert I am glad to see your highly professional and timely response to changes in Russia's economy. Our managers of all levels in
large, small and medium business in Russia are now confused about how best to proceed. What decision to make in crisis times? How to survive? Which anti-crisis measures to take in your company? What and how to plan in the nearest three-five years of coming stagflation? These
questions trouble business community in Russia, Europe, the USA, China and South-East Asia. In my mind, all these issues are subjects
of business seminars which should be held by Marchmont in Russian cities. No one can exactly and clearly answer the said questions
because the world has never seen anything like the current financial and economic downturn. Therefore the depth and continuation of the
crisis impact on the real economy will be studied along with crisis unfolding. Several elements of the ongoing crisis resemble the Great
Depression in the USA in the 30-ies, Japanese crisis in the 90-ies, the 1998 default in Russia and default in Germany at the beginning of
the 20th century. The theory of Kondratiev waves will help us to understand internal causes of the crisis. Russia's archaic financial
system manages to keep Russian afloat. But who analyzed influence of the modern derivative security market, the impact of this multi-level
system of securities on economic growth of business sectors? Who developed measures of state regulation of derivatives in the USA and when?"
Ildar Ablayev
Rector of Tatar Management Academy, Doctor of Economics, professor of Kazan State University.
"My opinion is extremely positive.
What can be improved?
The order of speakers should be strictly observed to keep the
event dynamic. Participants should be questioned before
conferences to find out what additional subjects related
to a conference subject they would like to be covered and
to arrange speeches on the topic.
It is clear that the subject needs to be related to a conference
theme. Let us look at real estate, we can speak about selling,
building, evaluating sites, leasing, using. All of these are
related to construction project marketing, implementation planning
(all area or partially), advertising campaign, attracting financing.
One of these topics can be covered at the conference or all of
them if they are interesting enough for conference participants.
In order to avoid incoherence a questionnaire of five-seven topics
can be compiled which can be discussed with experts as well."
Hike Papoyan
Property advisor, corporate services department, CB Richard Ellis.
"First of all, I have to say I enjoyed the event (Business Leaders Investment Forum,
held in Novosibirsk on February 26, 2009 – note.) and I am very grateful for inviting me to join it.
Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to thank Kendrick White as he was surrounded by the participants during
the event and I had to leave promptly after the Forum. Nevertheless, I would like to point out that Mr White
has managed to create a fascinating atmosphere, both business-like and friendly with the help of wide experience
and ability to communicate the right words to the audience. It was a very good idea to invite business leaders
to speak about the way their businesses are surviving in these turbulent times as these were not traditional success stories.
Three speakers presented three different models of interacting with the personnel without giving a clear way of the right conduct.
But the answer to the what-is-the-main-thing-to-survive question was universal and it ran like this:
a great wish to work and achieve your goals, leader's involvement.
Thus, it was made clear that everyone was going through difficult times but victory was possible and it
depended on oneself and one's personal qualities.
The conference participants left the event in a very excited state.
Thank you and good luck!"
Svetlana Ageeva
Spokeswoman for the MICEX in charge of work with issuers in Siberian Federal District.
"The Center “Superstaff” acted as an information partner of Investment Business Leaders Forum in Novosibirsk on February 26, 2009.
We worked with Marchmont Company for the first time, and our first experience turned out to be a success.
Organization of the forum was efficient. The atmosphere was open-hearted and friendly.
It was pleasant to communicate with the speakers and the participants. Some interesting speeches were presented.
I’d like to single out the report of Igor Ladygin, director of “Brokercreditservice Consulting”- specific examples, useful information.
Special thanks to Mr. Kendrick White for his professionalism, sympathy and kindness.
V.D. Saratovkin, a representative of the center “Superstaff”, presented his report on the investment attractiveness of the team;
also three of our partners were invited to participate in Session 2 with their reports on the actual business situation based on the
examples of their enterprises. We were worried how such emotional reports from the real business might suite the image of a serious
investment forum. We were pleasantly surprised that all reports made a good impression; the audience was interested in non-standard
approaches and energy.
I am grateful for the opportunity of partnership collaboration and hope for successful continuation."
Svetlana Signevich
Director of the Center "Superframe", Novosibirsk.
"I willingly took part in the forum, although I am not a habitue of this sort of events.
From my point of view, the event was useful and next time I’ll try to attend it again.
Especially I was pleasantly surprised by the contrast between the second and third sessions.
Business leaders said that they were offended by the banks, which didn’t give them money,
and outside investors ruthlessly wanted to get into their "streamlined" business. On the contrary,
investors claimed that they wanted to invest money but needed transparency for investments and control over them.
It turns out that there is money, you just have to learn the correct way and chiefly the responsible manner to take it."
Albert Volossky
General Director, “SAST”, Novosibirsk.
"The conference turned out to be very useful and up-to-the-minute.
In the present conditions of economic uncertainty, each company has to cope with falling sales,
cost optimization and, chiefly, emotional constituent of the staff.
The lost of courage among the team will inevitably lead a company to huge losses.
That’s why I think that it’s essential to conduct such meetings.
During this conference we, managers, shared experiences, discussed the situations, which should be avoided,
and, of course, talked over the possibilities of growth, available for us because of the crisis.
I am extremely grateful to the organizers and participants of the conference as such meetings help to broaden
one’s outlook as well as to get new emotions, inspiration for future work. I’d like to wish owners and managers
of all levels to be up to the mark, to learn how to manage in a rapidly changing situation - it's the perfect time
to improve our own competence and prove to yourself that you do not hold this job to no purpose! Nowadays everyone is
in deep water (and your competitors too), but if you are a professional, you’ll gather all your optimism and go ahead
for further development, growth, capture of new markets!"
Tatyana Sokolnikova
Executive Director, "Argument", Tomsk.
