In November 2012, IBM and Russian Venture Company announced cooperation aimed at promoting the development of the innovation market. The partners first joint project is the launch of the IBM Global En-trepreneur Program in Russia.
Entrepreneurs participating in the program get free access to IBM software and hardware, technical support for their projects, consultations, and assistance with promotion of their products into the market.
IBM SmartCamp Moscow, scheduled for June 17-18, 2013, will help startups expand their business ex-pertise.
IBM SmartCamp Moscow provides an opportunity for entrepreneurs to present their projects to a team of mentors, receive expert feedback and advice on further project development, and discuss potential co-operation. The mentor team will include Russian and international venture capitalists, angel investors, serial entrepreneurs, business leaders, industry and technology experts, and IBM`s senior executives.
The working language of the event is English.
Representatives of five IT and communications startups will be invited to participate in IBM SmartCamp Moscow.
The successful applicants will meet the following criteria:
• Company established 5 years ago or later, with an annual turnover under USD 10M.
• The project involves the use of equipment (such as sensors, monitors, and/or video cameras), communication networks, and analytical tools.
• Availability of a prototype / demo version of the proposed solution is an advantage.
• The project is promising in the context of the global market.
Participants will be selected on the basis of the information provided by the startups in their respective applications.
The SmartCamp winner will be invited to participate in IBM`s three-month in-depth mentoring program and offered an opportunity to present the project at the regional final of the IBM SmartCamp contest.
