Russian Railways puts $2.6bn in West-Siberia rail

Russian Railways will invest $2.6bn in the development of its West-Siberian subsidiary between now and 2010, the company announced earlier today. Between 2004 and 2007 the firm invested $1.4bn.

The investment will help improve infrastructure to meet the growing demand for transportation and fund social construction, the firm specified.
