Irkutsk regionís $315m five-year roads development plan

Authorities in Irkutsk region have approved a $315m regional roads development program to run over 2011-2015, regional officials report.

Of the total funding, $216m is reportedly to be allocated from the regional budget, and $99m is to be raised from the federal budget.

Under the program, the funds are to be used to expand the regional and inter-municipal roads, increase the number of villages with all-year-round road chains, improve road management system.
