Irkut signs $4bn contract with Malaysian Crecom

Irkutsk region-based aircraft manufacturer Irkut has signed a contract with Malaysian investment company Crecom Burj Resourses to make and supply 50 planes, Kommersant reports.

The contract price is reportedly to come in between $3bn and $4bn depending on the plane configuration.

Under the contract, Irkut is to build and supply 50 MS-21 medium-range aircrafts.

The planes are scheduled to be supplied between 2016 and 2020.
