Novosibirsk looking for $6.4m contractors to repair streets

Authorities in the city of Novosibirsk have announced an open tender to select contractors to repair streets in the city.

The authorities are reportedly to auction two contracts with starting (maximum) prices set at $5.3m and $1.5m.

Under the first contract, the winner is to repair roads on 22 streets. Specifically, the contractor is to replace old paving asphalt with a new one, with five-year guarantee.

The repair works are scheduled to take place in June October 2010 and May October 2011.

The auction results are to be announced on June 11, 2010, officials said.
