Omsktransproekt’s $38.7m Yakutia rail design posted

Following a tender held by the Yakutia government Omsk-based Omsktransproekt will get a $38.7m contract for designing Yakutian railroad networks to link local extraction companies with main rail arteries, a source in the Yakutia government announced today.

One of the main tasks the tender winner will have to take on is designing a 270-km-long rail system to connect internal railroads with the Amur-Yakutia Railroad, one that links the region with the famous Baikal-Amur (BAM) Railroad, the source said.
