Private Russian airline supports digital and industrial tech

11 Mar '19
S7 Group, a major private Russian airline, earlier announced plans to launch a $50m venture fund.

Since 2017, the group has already invested some $10m in start-ups developing digital and industrial technologies. Most of these are based in Germany, the U.S., India and China, with Russian accounting for just 12% of the portfolio.

Registered abroad for ease of international investment deals, the fund will pursue both financial profit and corporate innovation goals.
