$2.4m coffee houses eyed in Nizhny

15 Oct '08
Nizhny Novgorods Oleg Kondrashov and Moscows Michail Tuzhilkin have come to an agreement to jointly open a $2.4m chain of coffee houses in Nizhny Novogorod, Kommersant reported today.

The two restaurant chain owners are expected to co-finance the project on a parity basis, the newspaper said, adding that the new coffee chain would be separate from Mr. Kondrashovs Pir restaurant business.

Under plans, a total of seven 150-square-meter coffee houses, to be named Do-Re-Mi, are to open in the city by the end of 2009.

The first café is to open in late October this year, the newspaper said.
