Sochi eyes $27m Olympics Training Center by 2013

The RF Government authorities intend to build a $27m Olympics Training Center for Russia winter sports teams in Krasnaya Polyana resort in Sochi, Krasnodar region, news agency RIA Novosti reports.

The project is reportedly to be financed from the federal budget.

Under the project, the center is to be equipped with all necessary infrastructure facilities, advanced technologies and methods for training and restoration of winter sports athletes, including hotel complex for 124 guest rooms, dormitory for service staff, bathing complex, medical rehabilitation centers.

Construction of the Center is scheduled to be carried out in 2011-2012.
