Baikalskaya Gavan SEZ design to cost $11.6m

Authorities in the Republic of Buryatia have announced plans to assign $11.6m to draft a design for three of the five sites within Baikalskaya Gavan tourism and recreation special economic zone (SEZ).

As Marchmont reported earlier, the 3,200-hectare Baikalskaya Gavan SEZ is to be located in the regions Pribaikalsky district (see news of February 5, 2009).

The zone is to have five sites, two of them have already been designed and construction of infrastructure at them is scheduled to start this year.
