STC to invest $162m in development in 2010

The Southern Telecommunications Company (STC) has announced plans to invest $162m in its development in 2010, up 20% on earlier planned amount.

Under plans, 65% of the funding is to be invested into development of new services and broadband access network under xDSL technology.

The funds are also to be spent on development of broadband access network under FTTx technology, the firm said.
