Gazprom-Media invests in bloggers

Gazprom-Media, the media arm of the Russian gas giant Gazprom, has invested in a group of companies called Happy Monday Family (HMF) which engages in web advertising with bloggers participation, the Russian business daily Vedomosti reported. How much Gazprom-Media has anted up has yet to be disclosed.
This is the first ever such deal in Russia between a large-scale domestic telecom holding company and a player in the influencer market segment. The segment is expected to reach $185-215m by the end of this year, which may make it Russia’s most fast-developing in online video advertising.
HMF comprises an agency that works with bloggers, called Happy Monday, the HPMD Network mobile advertising network, the Booster video distribution platform, the Influencer microblog platform, and a content production center. The multifaceted business is being managed by Happy Monday, LLC. and its owner, HPMD Network, LLC. According to Kartoteka.ru, the former posted $3.4m in revenue in 2017, and the latter $439,000. By the end of 2019 HMF may post $7.7m in proceeds, its management forecasts.
