Prognoz Innovatsii, a business analytics systems developer based in Perm, West Urals, is putting together its software and hardware complex to control businesses and forecast economies, sector-specific news agency TASS-Telecom reports citing a company source.
The developer has been recently granted residency status in Skolkovo, Russia’s widely touted government-sponsored innovation hub under construction just outside Moscow, where the core research will be reportedly conducted.
The future software and hardware complex is believed to be able to effectively control complex financial and economic systems, such as companies, banks, economic sectors, regions and even national economies, with an array of shock impacts factored in.
The product will use what the developer claims are “unique” algorithms and mathematical models enabling increased accuracy of mid-term and long-term forecasts by taking into account some external influence and peculiarities in development dynamics of systems to be looked into. Alongside in-depth analytics tools like forecasting, scenario modeling or venture management, this product is expected to include conventional data presentation approaches like reporting or OLAP analysis.
According to Prognoz Innovatsii CEO Dmitry Andrianov, “there’s no market competition” for the new solution as there’s no similar combination of algorithms, models, modeling instruments and business analytics tools in one product.
The company is reportedly seeking a Skolkovo Foundation grant to start promoting its end product in the global market once the complex is fully developed.
