Primorsky regionís $234m healthcare modernization program

A total of $234m is to be spent to finance healthcare modernization program in Primorsky region in 2011-2012, regional officials report.

The program is reportedly to be financed from he federal and regional budgets, as well as the Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund.

Under plans, the funds are to be used to strengthen material and technical base of medical institutions, purchase modern medical equipment, implement medical standards, i.e. increase expenses on patients treatment and medical employees salaries.
