Russian IT start-up joins Japanese accelerator

The Perm-based company Where are My Children became the only participant in the Accelerate Aichi by 500 Startups Global Landing Pad accelerator program from Russia, organized by the Japanese government together with the American accelerator.

In total, 20 participants from all over the world were selected, said Igor Lyubimov, director for international development of the company.
Our mission is to help parents raise happy and successful people. We already see interest in our product in Japan, and participation in Aichi Landing Pad by 500 Global will allow us to develop our presence in this region on the b2c market, as well as start developing the b2b direction through a product for schools and companies, said Igor Lyubimov.
He added that more than a thousand companies from 24 countries of the world applied for participation in the accelerator. The purpose of participation in the program is to develop a strategy for entering the market of the Asia-Pacific region, as well as to search for local partners, integrators and local contractors.

The company expects to conduct market research to expand the functionality of the application. Participation in the accelerator will allow to increase revenue by $500,000 during 2022.

To participate in the competition, the service Where are My Children was presented. This is an application for determining the exact geolocation of a child by his parents. With it, parents track the activities of the child and monitor his environment, ensuring safety and uninterrupted communication with him.

The Russian company Where are My Children is one of the market leaders in family trackers in the world. The application is used by more than 3 million parents in 170 countries around the world. Since 2018, Where Are My Kids has ranked #1 in the Maternity & Childhood category on Google Play and top 5 in the Education category on the App Store. He is a resident of Skolkovo, the head office of the company is located in Perm.
