The tests were carried out by the R2 Robotics startup of the TechnoSpark and SIGMA.Novosibirsk nanocenters of the investment network of the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs (FIEP) of the RUSNANO Group.
The R2 Robotics robot merchandiser receives information to move around the sales area or warehouse using machine vision. The device takes panoramic 3D-photos, which allow remotely assessing the correctness of the display of goods in the store, its fullness. The robot also collects data on the availability of goods on the sales floor and in warehouses by reading RFID tags. This makes it possible to carry out an inventory at any time and receive up-to-date information on the quantity of goods in the store and its location in the sales area. Thus, the manager can quickly find the goods in the hall by the code.

The robot merchandiser was specially designed taking into account the specifics of the retail market, and can adapt to changes at any time around you: for example, the movement of people in the sales area, glass and mirror objects, showcases and shelves. He independently creates a map of the premises, on which the manager marks the inspection route.
