Alexey Belyaev, project manager of the Energy Efficient Technologies Cluster of the Skolkovo Foundation: “Aerotrack aims to provide logistics companies with effective design solutions that reduce fuel consumption and improve the environmental performance of cargo transportation, which is in line with the general development trend of modern transport systems. The development is based on numerical modeling of aerodynamic processes occurring during the movement of a freight train.”Fairings are made of a composite that bends around obstacles. The metal components are made of high quality AISI 304 stainless steel. The additional attachment kits are lightweight and can withstand harsh weather and road conditions. The aerodynamic “skirt” improves visibility, reduces ice and snow accumulation under the trailer and prevents vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles and pedestrians from falling under it.
Almaz Ayupov, CEO of Aerotruck: “Our development saves 100–150 thousand rubles a year on one machine and pays off in about a year. It is very easy to install on almost any trailer without drilling and welding. And it costs much less than competitors - Schmitz Cargobull and Wabco.”In Russia, the company's clients have already become such market leaders as Delovye Linii and X5 Retail Group. At the same time, such technologies are practically not used in Europe. Aerotruck plans to launch sales in Spain and Germany by the end of the year.
