Krasnoyarsk school students visit regional business-incubator

Gymnasium 13 in the city of Krasnoyarsk and Krasnoyarsk Regional Innovation and Technology Business-Incubator have signed an agreement on cooperation in development of early innovation training, reports.
This is the first event in the chain of projects to organize comprehensive and efficient cooperation between schools in Krasnoyarsk and the regional business-incubator. The goal of cooperation is carrying out joint contests, programs, projects, creation of the production lab KRITBI (FabLab).
“Our gymnasium has always been interested in new technologies. We hope that KRITBI will open the first FabLab in Krasnoyarsk in our school, and residents-innovators will become frequent guests in our school.”
Under the project, the regional business-incubator has been visited by about 100 school students from the Gymnasium 13. Only the best students in the age range of 8 to 16, including those studying in the unique Physics and Math class, have been included into KRITBI.”
Nikolay Kolpakov, the executive director of KRITBI, personally lead a tour of the regional business-incubator for young guests and acquainted them with the incubator residents.
The kids were mostly impressed with the vacuum chamber that demonstrated the process of air withdrawal from a vessel; 3D-printer that can print details in plastic; powerful data processing center KRITBI.
The student of the 8th grade Roman Kalinin, the tour was very interesting and useful. “It made me want to materialize my ideas,” he added.
“This is the first step on the way of organization of FabLab chain in Krasnoyarsk region. We are happy that Krasnoyarsk school show interest. We plan a cycle of such events in the future,” Nikolay Kolpakov added.
