The Novosibirsk-based Institute of Economics and Industrial Management, which is part of the Siberian department of the Russian Academy of Sciences, is hosting on September 19-23, 2011 the 2nd International Youth Economic School titled “How to Turn Scientific Ideas into Innovative Business”.
Eligible for participation at School are young scientists from research centers, university staff and employees of small businesses who have innovative projects or commercially viable ideas.
School participants will be introduced to a holistic approach to commercialization of scientific ideas and developments. They will be able to attend master-classes and skilled experts led training sessions to polish their ideas and projects; learn from the experience of small innovative companies; and take part in a contest to win year-long free economic advisor services for their projects.
School also offers young participants discussion opportunities to talk about vital issues of innovative activity and the role of academic science and the youth in the region’s emerging innovation ecosystem.
