4 Sep '17
The Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) in Vladivostok is pioneering this month Russia’s new master’s degree program in augmented and virtual reality Game Development & VR.

The program is part of what Russia’s Agency for Strategic Initiatives is touting as “Cyber Russia,” this country’s educational and acceleration program aimed at training specialists and fostering start-up development in virtual/augmented/mixed reality enhanced gaming and blockchain technology. By 2020, the developer hopes at least 10,000 people across Russia will be involved in the initiative, and at least 25 new start-ups will have been launched as viable projects.

Students are expected to learn how to develop and commercialize advanced software in a range of applications.
