Skolkovo to discuss radiation technologies at APEC-2012 Summit

The Skolkovo Foundation has suggested to include a topic of development of radiation technologies into discussion at the APEC Summit to take place in Russian Far East city of Valdivostok on September 8-9, 2012, news agency RIA Novosti reports citing Denis Kovalevich, the head of nuclear cluster of Skolkovo Foundation.

The Skolkovo nuclear cluster suggested to include a topic of development of radiation technologies into the agenda of the APEC Summit at the APEC Conference on innovations and trade that took place in Singapore on April 4-5 as part of preparation to the APEC Summit. We are working on a proposal for extended dialogue between interested parties, to be presented at the working meeting of APEC organizers in Kazan in May 2012, Mr. Kovalevich said.

The intergovernmental forum Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) was established in November 1989. The organization currently unites 21 countries and Asian-Pacific Region territory. This year Russia chairs the APEC forum, and the central annual event APEC-2012 Summit will be held on the Russky Island in Vladivostok.
