On the final day of the Gaidar Forum - 2021, the winners of the Digital Summits prize, which is awarded for the best IT solutions to improve the efficiency of business and government structures, were announced.
The awards ceremony was moderated by Konstantin Parshin, Vice President, Executive Director of the Information Technology Cluster of the Skolkovo Foundation, and Larisa Katysheva, Director of the Center for Contemporary Communications of the Higher School of Economics, RANEPA. Rector of RANEPA Vladimir Mau addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. He noted that 2020 was the year of a digital breakthrough, a breakthrough in the development of domestic digitalization in the fields of education, healthcare, business and public administration.
In the final of the Digital Peaks award, another Skolkovo team, YaKlass, became a rival of the Uchi.ru project. As a result, the jury awarded the victory to the educational platform Uchi.ru, a resident of the information technology cluster of the Skolkovo Foundation.
This company is the leader of the Russian online school education market. The platform allows users to master basic subjects - mathematics, Russian and English, and others for free or by subscription. In addition, on the site you can learn programming and goal setting, prepare for school exams and participate in olympiads.
The platform is used by about half of schoolchildren in the country (8 million) and more than 350,000 teachers. The platform's traffic is 37 million visits per month. And during the period of self-isolation, Uchi.ru became the second most visited educational resource in the world (according to SimilarWeb, April 2020).
The Uchi.ru database contains over 50,000 tasks in a game format, prepared by professional methodologists. Users can solve them at their own pace - the system adapts the educational trajectory to the individual characteristics of each student.
The company is also developing the Uchi.Home project: it allows students to study with teachers individually. Now on the site, schoolchildren from the first to the eighth grade can learn English. The company also has projects for overseas markets - HappyNumbers.com, BRICSMATH.COM and Dragonlearn.org: they already operate in the US and Canada, pilots have also been launched in India, China, Brazil, South Africa, Indonesia and Vietnam.
