Russian universities outside Times Higher Education’s top-150 global list

6 Sep '17
Times Higher Education, a leading provider of higher education data for the world’s research-led institutions, has published its new World University Rankings 2018.

According to THE, the world’s two best universities come from the UK—these are Oxford and Cambridge. Place 3 is shared by two American institutions, the California Institute of Technology and Stanford, followed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on the 5th place. Harvard is ranked outside the top-5 (6th position).

Russian universities are not part of even the top-150 in the world. Russia’s best university, the Moscow Lomonosov State University (MSU), has to put up with its 194th place.

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2018 list the top 1,000 universities in the world with special focus on their core missions, including teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook.
