Leading oncology experts to support biomed in Skolkovo
12 Mar '15
The Skolkovo Foundation, the state-run entity managing Russia’s largest innovation hub just outside Moscow, and the Russian Society for Clinical Oncology (RUSSCO) have inked an agreement that calls for RUSSCO’s ongoing support of Skolkovo’s biomed projects, particularly cancer-related, the Skolkovo Foundation website announced.
According to Kristina Khodova, manager for oncology/immunology projects at Skolkovo’s biomed cluster, the agreement has formalized “de-facto active and fruitful” relations between the partners.
Kirill Kaem, vice president of the Foundation and the biomed cluster’s executive director, believes that the cooperation with RUSSCO will enable the partners to bring into the innovation process both new start-ups that only begin to tread their paths in medicine, and renowned scientists, medical practitioners and outstanding experts in oncology both in Russia and internationally. RUSSCO’s professionals are expected to help Skolkovo start-ups with their first-rate expertise, he said.
“RUSSCO is a society that brings together just about all leading clinical experts in oncology in our country,” Ms. Khodova underscored.
