East-West Digital News, the first all English-language online resource dedicated to Russian digital industries and a long-standing Marchmont partner in the promotion of Russian innovation, is announcing the upcoming e-Days E-Commerce Conference, Russia’s first internationally-oriented industry event.
The conference will be held in Moscow on June 6, with InternetRetailer.com, the chambers of commerce of France and Great Britain and online marketing agency BuzzFactory joining EWDN as co-organizers and partners.
EWDN is expecting a bevy of CEOs and top executives from leading companies – including Enter.ru, e96.ru, Groupon Russia, Ikea, KupiVIP, Lamoda, La Redoute, Otto Group, Ozon, and many others – to join Russia’s front-rank experts, sharing insights on current developments and their vision of the industry’s future.
Panel discussions will feature the following topics:
• The specifics of Russian e-commerce;
• Online-offline convergence and next-gen hybrid models;
• How e-retailers are conquering Russia’s regions;
• The Russian delivery revolution;
• Marketing and e-payments “à la russe”;
• Cross-border sales: From market boom to new regulations.
EWDN chief editor Adrien Henni and Data Insight co-founder Fedor Virin will present the latest trends and figures on Russian e-commerce. The media contingent will also feature Financial Times Moscow bureau chief Kathrin Hille speaking on the secrets of Chinese online retail and InternetRetailer.com managing editor Katie Evans leading a panel discussion on the future of e-commerce and mobile commerce around the world.
The newest e-commerce services and solutions available in Russia will also be highlighted. Ten providers – including little-known startups that deserve attention – will make their cases to online retailers in a 3-minute pitch format.
More than 200 high-profile internationally-oriented participants are expected to attend the event, representing online and offline global retailers, brands and manufacturers as well as service companies currently involved or planning operations in Russian e-commerce.
The event will focus on facilitating networking opportunities among attendees through a networking lounge, cocktail reception and several coffee breaks. Introductions to the event’s speakers and sponsors also stand high on the organizers’ list of commitments to conference participants.
