Murmansk region’s $19.4m housing upgrade plan

A total of $19.4m is to be spent on apartment blocks repairs and citizenry relocation from housing, deemed beyond repairs, in Murmansk region, regional officials report.

Of the total funding, $16.2m is reportedly to be allocated from the federal Support for Reforming Housing Utilities Fund, and $3.2m is to be put up by regional authorities.

Under plans, the funds are to be spent on repairs of 111 apartment blocks and relocation of residents from 32 slum houses. As a result of finance, 14,500 citizens are to improve residential conditions.
