Yakutia to spend $350m to build new schools

Authorities in the Republic of Yakutia have announced plans to invest $350m in construction of new schools in the region.

Of the total funds, $20m is reportedly to be assigned from the federal budget.

Under plans, the funds are to be used to build 34 schools in the region’s Abyisky, Amginsky, Anabarsky, Verkhnevilyuysky, Lensky, Eveno-Bantaysky and other districts.
