Sakhalin announces 2009’s 150k sq. m housing

Sakhalin has announced plans to complete construction of 150,000 sq. m of new housing by the end of the year.

Apartments to be sold in the market account for 60% of the total, individual houses for 28%, and the rest is municipal housing, regional officials said.

Most new construction is reportedly taking place in the region’s capital city of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.
