15 Apr '11
A total of $8.55m is to be spent on citizenry relocation from housing, deemed beyond repairs, in Kostroma region in 2011, regional officials report.

Of the total funding, $6.37m is reportedly to be raised from the federal Support for Reforming Housing Utilities Fund, and $2.18m is to be put up by regional authorities.

Under plans, the funds are to be used to relocate 618 residents from 240 slum houses to newly-built low-rise houses in four municipalities: Kostroma, Sharya, Buy and Manturovo.
