Kostroma region’s $8.3m citizenry relocation plan

A total of $8.3m is to be spent on citizenry relocation from housing, deemed beyond repairs in Kostroma region in 2011-2012, regional officials report.

Of the total funding, $6.2m is reportedly to be allocated from the federal Support for Reforming Housing Utilities Fund, and $2.1m is to be put up by regional authorities.

Under plans, the funds are to be spent on construction of new low-rise houses to be used for relocation of residents from slum buildings.
