Samara-based recruiting company Senat Consulting Services (SCS) plans to open its office in Novosibirsk before the end of 2007 as part of its expansion program. However, local market players do not perceive SCS as serious competitor. Some market experts believe that SCS’ “ambitious expansion plans mean that the company’s owners intend to sell the business in the future.”
On the contrary, SCS General Director Sergey Rudenko pointed out that the SCS management had considered development trends in Novosibirsk before making the decision of opening a new office there.
Mr. Rudenko said, “The practice shows that in the regions our client base structure consists of the following elements: 85% are Russian branches of transcontinental companies, while 10% are Russian companies and only 5% are local companies.” Sergey Rudenko also added that the opening of the company’s office in Novosibirsk was expected to cost approximately 500,000 rubles ($20,000).
