$35.6m construction insulation plant opens in Troitsk

A $35.6m plant producing mineral wool board (thermal insulation materials for the construction sector) has been put into commission in the city of Troitsk in Chelyabinsk region.

The regional authorities and investors signed the investment agreement to build the plant in April 2008, local officials.

Under plans, projected starting capacity at the plant 30,000 tons of mineral wool boards.

Officials said the plant would create 270 new jobs.

The plant will supply 30 regions of Russia, Kazakhstan and Kirghizstan, officials claimed.
