Evrocement - $884m cement works in Katav-Ivanovsk

Moscow's Evrocement Group have confirmed that the company will set up cement works in the city of Katav-Ivanovsk, that will have an output of 2.2 - 3.5m tons per year. The project will require over $884m and the new line of cement is scheduled for a December 2012 release.

During the IX South-Urals Economic Forum Evrocement, who have 16 cement works in total, sealed the deal with the Chelyabinsk region for the new cement works.

The company will also be erecting a 26Mw power generator that will supply the firm's own needs. The generator should be up and running by January 2010.
