Tuapse Oil Refinery to invest $250m in its power station

Tuapse Oil Refinery has announced plans to invest $250m in modernization of its thermal power station, located at the plant.

Under the project, the power station is to get six gas turbine SGT-800 units with overall power capacity of 282 MW, manufactured by German Siemens.

The first three units are reportedly to be supplied by the end of 2010, and the last three are to be delivered by the end of 2012.

The Refinerys power station currently has capacity of 18 MW.

The Tuapse Refinery is owned by Rosneft.
