Sibersky increases coal investment by $4.3m

Kemerovo-based multi-sector holding Sibirsky Delovoy Soyuz (Siberian Business Council) will invest in 2008 over $4.3m in its coal sector subsidiary Azot-Chernigovets, Interfax reported.

Specifically, it has purchased a $1.3m drilling rig, produced by US-based manufacturer DML, which it expects to increase drilling volumes by 20%.

Sibirsky Delovoy Soyuz, the holding company, owns coal, engineering, transport, agricultural, developing, insurance businesses, as well as radio and print media, recreational and entertainmant firms.

Azot-Chernigovets produces emulsive industrial explosives and holds drilling and blasting operations.
