Koks to invest $65m in Butovskaya coal mine in 2011

Kemerovo region coal company Koks has announced plans to invest $65m building Butovskaya coal mine in Kemerovo region.

The Butovskaya mine is reportedly to mine coal in Chesnokovsky district of the Kemerovo coal deposit.

The mine’s projected annual capacity is 1.5 million tons of coke coal.

Construction of the mine started in 2008. The mine is scheduled to be put into commission in several launch complexes within the next six years.

Total investment into the mine construction has yet to be disclosed.

Preliminary reserves at the mine are estimated at 73.32 million tons of coal. Term of the reserves mining is estimated at 30 years.
