Coal deposit in Zabaikalsky region auctioned at min. $1.6m

The federal subsurface management agency Rosnedra has announced an open auction to sell an exploration license for Chitkandinskoye charcoal deposit in Zabaikalsky region.

The starting price for the 25-year license is reportedly estimated at $1.6m.

The 251.1-square-meter deposit is located in the Northern part of the region. Its coal reserves under A, B and C categories are estimated at 15.63 million tons.

The auction is scheduled to take place on February 25, 2011.
