ArcelorMittal sells Anzherskoye mine to Rostopprom

Kemerovo region coal mining company ArcelorMittal intends to sell its Anzherskoye mine in Kemerovo region, Kommersant reports.

The mine’s new owner is Moscow’s Russian Fuel Company (Rostopprom), which is 72% state-controlled, the paper said.

The deal price has yet to be disclosed.

Anzherskoye mine is expected to mine a total of 750,000 tons of coal in 2010. Its personnel number totals 1,200 workers. The mine stayed inactive for most part of 2009.
