Gazprom reckons Arctic shelf’s gas at 10 trln cu. m

According to Gazprom estimates, gas reserves on the Arctic shelf may hit 10 trillion cu. m by 2020.

At the moment, the reserves are reportedly estimated to be 4.7 trillion cu. m.

Vice-president of Gazprom Valery Golubev announced earlier today that the company had plans to bore as many as 100 exploration wells in the shelf over the next ten years.
