NLMK to invest $50m in cold mill in VIZ-Steel

Steel group NLMK has announced plans to invest $50m building a reversing cold mill at its subsidiary plant VIZ-Steel, based in Ekaterinburg, Sverdlovsk region.

The project is reportedly to be carried out in partnership with German company Andritz-Sundwig.

The new complex is to be located in the plantís cold mill instead of the de-installed old machine.

The new millís projected annual capacity is 75,000 tons.

Construction of the mill is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year.
