Russian-British oil giant TNK-BP has announced plans to invest $200m in expansion of its Zaykinsky gas processing complex in Orenburg region, news agency RIA Novosti reports.
As a result of the expansion, the complex’s annual capacity is reportedly to double – to 2.2 billion cubic meters of gas.
Under the project, the company is also to build a railway terminal.
The company is currently holding a tender to select a contractor to build the facilities, the firm said.
The new facilities are scheduled to be put into commission in May 2012.
