LUKOIL to invest $1bn in its Perm refinery PNOS

Oil giant LUKOIL has announced plans to invest about $1bn in development of its Perm-based petrochemical plant LUKOIL-Permnefteorgsintez (PNOS).

Under plans, the funds are to be invested into construction of a complex to process oil remains and a catalytic cracking complex.

As a result of investment, oil processing depth at the plant is reportedly to reach 98%.

The project is scheduled to be carried out in 2012-2014.
