Clean City to build $50m in waste landfill in Perm region

Chisty Gorod (Clean City) intends to invest $45-$50m building a solid waste landfill in Perm region, Kommersant reports.

The project documentation is reportedly to be drafted by the Perm State Technical University.

The landfill is to be located on a 41-hectare land site in Zvezdny restricted and territorial entity, 40 kilometers outside Perm, the paper said.

Under the project, the landfill is to be kitted out with autonomous disposal facilities, fire reservoirs, gathering and filtration system, as well as waste-processing plant.

The project documentation is scheduled to be ready by the end of 2010. Construction will start after the project is approved by state expertise.
