Lanxess to build $3m chemical plant in Dzerzhinsk

German chemical company Lanxess intends to invest $3m building a plant to produce slab and granulated rubber in Nizhny Novgorod region, news agency REGNUM.

The plant is reportedly to be located in Nizhny Novgorod satellite town Dzerzhinsk.

The plant’s initial annual production capacity is 360 tons of rubber and to grow to 2100 tons by 2020.

Construction is scheduled to start by the end of this week, with the plant to be put into commission in Q1 2011.
