Russian US Dow Izolan to launch $45m polyurethane plant in Vladimir

Dow Izolan, a JV set up by US company Dow Chemical and Russian firm Izolan, has announced plans to put into commission a $45m plant to produce polyurethane products in Vladimir by the end of the week, Interfax reports.

The plants projected annual capacity is 35,000 tons of products.

The plant is reportedly to manufacture polyurethane components, used in construction, car industry, furniture and shoes production and house appliances manufacturing.

Construction of the plant started in September 2008.
