MMK invests $39m in eco-friendly projects

Chelyabinsk region-based Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) invested $39m in ecological projects over H1 2009, the company reports.

Of the total funds, $20.4m was invested in capital construction of eco-friendly facilities.

Among largest projects were construction of water supply turnover cycles, sludge condensation and decantation departments at a roll mill workshop and other facilities.
