Tion—Smart Microclimate, an innovative developer in Novosibirsk, is making a new family of air-cleaning filters, Sib.fm reported.
According to Tion CEO Mikhail Amelkin, nanomaterials are used in the filters that this Siberian company produces. “We use special sorbents structured on a nanodimensional level. Which means we ‘weave’ nanofiber into our filters, using special technology. That boosts efficiency considerably, as the filters are capable of catching particles as small as 2.5 microns in size and even smaller. These particles are most dangerous as they get directly to a person’s lungs and blood,” Mr. Amelkin said.
He emphasized that nanofiber-containing filters are in demand at industries harmful for the human body, as well as in medicine. Such a filter can also be employed at home.
