Rosatom to invest $1.26bn in Mining and Chemical Factory

State corporation Rosatom has announced plans to invest about $1.26bn in development of projects at its Mining and Chemical Factory (GKhK), based in Zheleznogorsk, Krasnoyarsk region, in the nearest years, the head of Rosatom Sergey Kirienko reports.

Among perspective projects are production of MOX-fuel for the fast neutron reactor, development of technologies of dry and wet storage of irradiated fuel, as well as operation of the radiochemical plant GKhK, Mr. Kirienko said.

Specifically, the MOX-fuel project is to cost $252m, the corporation said.
